30 Reviews For This Extension
Many times stops recording and cannot save videos with a network error. Very rare it can download a rescued video but most of the times not and hours of recording are wasted.
Works like a charm
After experiencing slow loading times when clicking on YouTube videos in Chrome, I discovered that disabling the 'Stream Recorder - HLS & m3u8 Video Downloader' extension (version 2.2.2) completely resolved my issue. While this extension claims to help download and save live streaming videos in HLS/m3u8 format, it was significantly affecting my browser's performance. If you're experiencing similar slowdowns when watching YouTube videos, you might want to check if this extension is causing the problem. I recommend only enabling it when you specifically need to use its downloading features, and keeping it disabled during regular browsing for better performance.
Please add auto save and auto resume.
it works good
For my use case, this worked well, was able to detect and save the videos. I did find a better extension later on, but give this one a go, it will probably do what you need and was better than 90% of the extensions out there in that it could handle HLS/blob-type videos.
It drains your pc's storage like anything, recording takes up the space and then saving it takes more space on top of that. Even if I don't decide to download the recorded file, the storage doesn't go back to the original folder size unless I restart my system. If you're planning to record anything over the length of 30 minutes, there's 70% chance it's not getting saved or it will show an error and any other video recording besides that automatically crashes as well. Only using it because there's no alternative right now.
Not working for any videos, no help file, nothing happens when I select it.
Best online web video downloader there is. Downloads videos that most other downloaders can't download.
Worked great.
Need a Firefox version, pls, due to ublock origin are no longer support by chrome
Just stopped working completely one day. Will do the whole process of downloading a video but the second you press save chrome just throws an error. Don't waste your time.
Please add an option to reset capture. some times it would be helpful if I want to seek to specific position and then start capturing.
dreadful on Vivaldi browser to many bugs edge works much better so not really blaming the extension more Vivaldi finding a lot of extensions have issues with vivaldi even though its chrome based
I rated this 5 stars but it no longer works on my favorite site as of today, so I bumped it down to a 4. I see many recent reviews that also say it stopped working on various sites. Is this extension still being maintained? It's the only extension that saves the filename as webpage title, which is very handy for me.
Downloaded it, installed it, it doesn't appear in my top toolbar as an extension.
♦It's all good, but if you save it again even if it fails, it's saved as [rescued video], but there are cases where this doesn't work either, so please improve it to save it.
Not recommended if you want to record longer videos. There's an 80% chance it's not getting saved or downloaded and that the whole progress will be of no use. So definitely not reliable, the devs still haven't had a fix for that after repeatedly raising concern. Still does the job to record short videos
Excellent stream downloader. But it's not support HydraX (Abyss.to) anymore.
Works, and is easy to use.
AMAZING
Doesn't work anymore.
80% of audio streams can be downloaded and saved successfully. However 20% of audio streams in the progress bar show that all segments have been captured e.g. 190/190 but doesn't show the "Save" button (only "Pause" and "Resume").
It worked and others not,so take these stars and my thanks.
it had been working great, but as of november 2024 its been fuccing up! needs an update.
It's really hit-and-miss saving the recorded files. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. 100% exactly likes some previous reviews. Developers should work on this.
Really powerful!
Works 50% of the time; when it's most needed it either records for 1-2 mins and shuts down everytime or when I'm about to save the recorded file, it repeatedly says to "Check internet connection" where there's no other alternative other than to restart the browser which automatically loses the file.( Even restarting doesn't help sometime) I've been told by the support team through mail, that it's because of an antivirus installed,(which I haven't) or there's less memory (The browser location is literally empty).
how does this work
working fine ? . more better if features like multiple resolution option avilable
